Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 31 January, the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sultanate of Oman to Uzbekistan AlSayyida Wafa Jabr Nasser Albusaidi.

The expansion of trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Oman was discussed at the meeting. The Oman side expressed its readiness to take comprehensive measures to expand the scale and increase the volume of mutual trade.

Other issues were also discussed, including the possibility of establishing direct flights between the two countries, prospects for joint implementation of new projects and promoting the development of regional transport infrastructure.

In order to ensure the timely implementation of all existing agreements between Uzbekistan and Oman, identifying new areas of bilateral cooperation and establishing partnerships between business circles, it was decided to create a Joint Working Group.
