The second reading of the bill "On securities market" was held at the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The draft law was presented by the Committee for Budget and Economic Reforms, Jahon quoted local press.

The chairman of the Committee A. Akhadov presided at the meeting. Among other participants of the session were the representatives of the ministries, agencies and organizations of Uzbekistan.

The lawmakers said the new law was to regulate the issuance, placement, circulation, writing off and annulling of securities.

The new law will define the procedure for regulating and overseeing the securities market to ensure its open and effective operation, to protect the rights of investors and owners of securities.

Meeting participants offered several suggestions to further improve the draft law.
