Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — At the fifty-sixth plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, the Law "On amendments and additions to certain legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan aimed at facilitating the collection of utility payments through the courts" was reviewed and approved.

The law introduces changes to the Civil Procedure Code and the Law "On State Duty." Under the new provisions, managers of multi-apartment buildings are exempt from paying state duty when filing lawsuits, claims, and complaints in courts and economic courts for the recovery of arrears on mandatory payments for services provided.

Additionally, changes are made to the Civil Procedure Code to prevent unnecessary delays and ensure more effective justice. Specifically, when applying to the courts for a judicial order to recover mandatory fees and payments from property owners of multi-apartment buildings, a list of required documents to be attached to the application is established.

Senators noted that the adoption of this law strengthens the guarantees of the right to access the courts for the protection of lawful interests of citizens and business entities, and enhances the level of justice. The law was unanimously approved by the senators.
