During the meeting, it was noted that Uzbekistan and Latvia gradually developing their relations in various areas, including parlamentarism. Inter-parliamentary relations play important role in strengthening legal basis of bilateral cooperation.
At the meeting, the sides considered issues on further developing inter-parliamentary relations. The gusts were briefed about activity of bicameral parliament in Uzbekistan.
Andrejs Klementjevs said Uzbekistan and Latvia has great opportunities for further development of economic cooperation. He said Latvian companies, specializing in machinery, transit transportation, high technologies are interested in the market of Uzbekistan.
He said that Uzbekistan and Latvia are located at crossroads of international trade roads and this can be used for trade development. Latvia is interested in further strengthening inter-parliamentary and trade-economic cooperation in Uzbekistan.
