Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - As part of his stay in Qatar, the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov held a number of meetings in Doha with the Minister of Investment and Industry of Qatar Muhammad al-Thani, heads of Hassad Food, Nebras Power, FITCO Detergent, Alazizya Chemicals Factory, Qatar National Cement, Power International Holding, other large companies and the Education Above All Foundation of this country.

In particular, the current state of implementation of joint projects and specific initiatives for further accelerated expansion of interaction in the investment, trade and economic spheres were discussed with Muhammad al-Thani. The parties confirmed their mutual readiness to take all necessary measures to support the business circles of both countries to strengthen ties, increase investment and industrial cooperation.

During negotiations with the heads of large companies in Qatar, the prospects for joint implementation of large investment projects in priority sectors of the economy of Uzbekistan with the attraction of direct investments from Qatari companies were discussed. The investment and industrial potential of our country is presented, and the comfortable conditions for investment activity created in recent years are voiced.

A number of agreements were reached on the implementation of joint initiatives. The agreements cover the areas of agriculture and food production, green energy, infrastructure development, projects for the production of household chemicals, building materials, and financial and technical cooperation.

In general, the results of the meetings showed a high level of interest among Qatari business circles in the implementation of joint projects in Uzbekistan, as one of the attractive areas for direct investment and expanding the geography of business.
