Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A large automotive-industrial cluster will be created in Jizzakh region within a few years. This was announced by the khokim of Jizzakh region Ergash Saliev during the Uzbek-Kazakh business forum.

Ergash Saliev said that within a few years it is planned to create a large automotive-industrial cluster in the region, as well as develop the production of building materials, organize production in the electrical, food, leather and footwear, pharmaceutical and other industries.

In this regard, he invited Kazakhstani partners to participate in the joint implementation of projects.

“Products manufactured in Jizzakh region (including building materials, textiles, glass products, food) are in great demand in the market of Kazakhstan. In the coming years, there are opportunities to increase mutual trade up to US$100 million,” the khokim of the region noted.
