Kyrgyzstan to buy 800m cubic meters of gas from Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- KyrgyzGaz state energy company has agreed the volume of gas supplies in 2009, but not the price.

It is expected that Kyrgyzstan will import 800 million cubic meters of gas from neighbouring Uzbekistan.

KyrgyzGaz said there were no talks on the price of the gas. Kyrgyzstan currently buys Uzbek gas for US$145 per 1,000 cubic meters.
