Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the office of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz Development Fund (UKDF) in Bishkek, an agreement was signed on the financial leasing of one hundred city passenger buses for the mayor’s office of Osh.

According to Dunyo, the agreement was signed with the participation of representatives of the UKDF and the Osh mayor’s office.

According to a report by the Kyrgyz national news agency "Kabar", UKDF is providing financing for the purchase of 100 modern city passenger buses produced at the Samarkand Automobile Plant.

The signing of this agreement was the second important step in improving the transport infrastructure of the city of Osh and improving the quality of life of its residents.

The previous successful project, implemented within the framework of the partnership between UKDF and the mayor’s office of Osh, confirmed the effectiveness of such cooperation in achieving common goals for the city’s development. According to the chairman of the board of the fund, Aziz Aaliev, this agreement will be an example of a successful partnership between investors and government agencies to promote the development of urban infrastructure and ensure sustainable development.

The acquisition of one hundred modern buses will be an important step in improving the transport system and improving the conditions of passenger transportation in the city of Osh. This project demonstrates a common goal in developing infrastructure and creating comfortable conditions for residents and guests of the city.

The UKDF was established and operates in accordance with the intergovernmental agreement signed on 11 March 2021 within the framework of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz summit at the highest level in Tashkent. The fund is managed by a Council and a Management Board, which includes representatives from both countries.
