Vision Kyrgyzzstan was formally opened by the President of the Football Federation of Kyrgyz Republic (FFKR), Arbek Alibaev and Brendan Menton, Director of Vision Asia.

The ceremony was attended by all the Executive Committee members of FFKR, representatives of the Provincial Associations and clubs and senior officials of the Ministries of Sport and Education.

“FFKR welcomes the support of AFC and its President, Mr Mohamed Bin Hammam for football in Kyrgyzstan. We are committed, with its assistance of AFC’s Vision Asia programme, to improve the standard of football in Kyrgyzstan,” said Alibaev, who was elected to the top post in December.

Vision Kyrgyzstan will comprise development programmes for the FFKR and the Chui region.

The country’s entrance into Vision Asia comes hot on the heels of the Kyrgyz national team’s qualification to the finals of the AFC Challenge Cup.
