Speaking about Kuwaiti-Uzbek relations, it was noted that there had been progress in this field, especially, in the past year during which the Kuwaiti foreign, justice and education ministers paid several visits to Tashkent to attend conferences dedicated to the pronouncement of Tashkent a capital of Islamic culture in the world.
Using the occasion, the Kuwaiti ambassador congratulated the people and president of Uzbekistan on his recent re-election, noting that representatives of his country also took part in the election as observers.
Mr Adil Muhammad Hayit sincerely expressed his gratitude for traditional hospitality which is characteristic of our people. He highlighted progressive reforms and development in the country, and expressed the hope for further expanding successful cooperation, in particular, in the oil and gas sector and transport communications.
