Kundalik introduces gamification tools for self-study and distance learning

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In April 2021, Kundalik, together with its partner Mind Factory, launched a project to create a multi-service online platform for additional study of subjects as part of the school curriculum.

This course includes: a constructor, a catalog of educational applications, which is grouped by subject, grade, or table of contents for textbooks included in the republican list. The platform also features distance learning services, motivation and gamification tools. The student’s digital profile contains diplomas, medals, achievements.

“During the pandemic, it has become more clear than ever that the participants in the educational process need the opportunity to study the school curriculum and train their knowledge of subjects. To this end, Kundalik announced a search for enthusiastic teachers who are ready to transfer their own teaching experience into digital format. Teachers from the city of Kagan, Namangan and Tashkent responded to the call to make the process of education in Uzbekistan even more accessible and comfortable. Together, we have identified a list of topics that need to be mastered by the end of the 2020-2021 academic year and started creating lessons,” says Hilola Izzatova, head of technical support at Kundalik.

Today, a teacher can create his own digital lesson, enrich it with video, audio materials, test tasks and issue it as homework through the "Calendar Planning" section in Kundalik. If desired, the lesson can be tied to a textbook or official thematic plan for the subject. When submitting a lesson as a homework assignment, the teacher can customize the competition parameters and choose the presentation form. So senior classes can take a lesson in a messenger format, and younger ones in an interactive game format.

Emine Adjimambetova, teacher of chemistry at specialized secondary school No. 103 in the city of Tashkent:

“During the quarantine period, I searched for various online services on foreign sites. Therefore, when I learned that it would be possible to create such training lessons and tests on the Kundalik platform, I gladly took part in this project. Thanks to such online simulators, teachers can assess how children understand a particular topic, their level of interest in the subject. Pupils who were absent from the lesson or did not immediately learn the material will be able to “catch up” with the theoretical material and practice on their own. "

Oksana Gurchina, English teacher at school # 10 in the city of Kagan: “Most students spend a lot of time on their phones, playing useless games. Mind Factory online simulators provide an excellent opportunity to perform additional exercises on the topics covered. I believe that with the help of such educational technologies, a child will be able to improve his level of knowledge in various subjects. "

The project was launched in pilot mode, so the first lessons are still available to a limited number of schools in algebra, physics, chemistry and English. During the testing period, user reviews will be collected, on the basis of which the product will be finalized for the new school year.
