Kumushkon and Chashma awarded the status of a “tourist village”

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 30 April, the villages of Kumushkon and Chashma, located in the Parkent district of the Tashkent region, were officially awarded the status of a “Tourist village”.

Event was attended by Chairman of the Tourism Committee Umid Shadiev, khokim of the Parkent district Sardor Isokulov, heads of the villages “Kumushkon” and “Chashma”, active citizens, media representatives.

“Kumushkon and Chashma attract tourists with their unique nature, clean air, cultural heritage sites and shrines located here. Last year, about 50,000 foreign and 900,000 local tourists visited the Parkent district. Based on the tourism potential of the mahalla and the positive conclusion of the Republican Commission, the Tourism Committee decided to assign the status of a “Tourist village” to the Kumushkon and Chashma mahallas”, - said Umid Shadiev.

This year, a number of works were carried out in the regions to develop the tourism sector and create the necessary tourist facilities. Large-scale, systematic work is being carried out to improve and organize other tourist sites. Further, it is also planned to systematically introduce high-quality tourism services for local and foreign tourists.
