Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Para-judo athlete Kumush Khodjayeva from Uzbekistan has won a silver medal at the Paralympic Games in Paris.
In the final match of the women’s para-judo competition in the J2 class, in the weight category up to 57 kg, she faced Japanese athlete Hirose Junko.
Despite her best efforts, Kumush Khodjayeva was unable to seize the opportunity and finished the competition in second place, adding a silver medal to Uzbekistan’s tally.
As of now, Uzbekistan’s team has won 21 medals at the Paralympics in Paris, including 9 gold, 7 silver, and 5 bronze awards.
