Korean firm to construct light-emitting diode plant
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzeltehsanoat Association and KDC Enertek (South Korea) signed an agreement on creation of enterprise on production of energy saving light diode and ceramic lightening equipment.

Gazeta.uz reported that South Korean firm will construct the plant in the territory of Navoi free industrial and economic zone in 2011.

The investment volume in the initial stage (up to 2011) will make up US$5 million. The capacity of the plant, construction of which will start in the second half of 2010, is not disclosed.

The enterprise plans to enter street lightening market and later to residential lightening market with perspective of production of flat OLED lamps.
