Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- More than 20 Uzbek leather and footwear companies, members of the Uzcharmsanoat Association, held fruitful negotiations with foreign enterprises, signed export contracts and investment agreements as part of the international exhibition on labor protection and industrial safety - KIOSH 2023, which took place these days in the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana.

Negotiations and dialogues were held with Kazakh companies to supply the market of this country with special shoes and uniforms produced in our country.

In particular, Ulkan Laziz LLC, a member of the Association, signed an export contract with the Kazakhstani enterprise JMKZ for the supply of special footwear for the mining and chemical industry for a total of US$500,000. Ulkan Laziz LLC also signed a contract for US$300,000 with other Kazakh companies for the supply of natural leather shoes in Almaty and Shymkent.

The Uzbek company KFK also signed large export contracts during the days of the exhibition. The total cost of the agreements is estimated at more than US$800,000.

As part of the three-day exhibition, our domestic enterprises signed export contracts worth almost US$2.5 million.

Also at the exhibition, presentations were made on the investment potential of the country’s leather and footwear industry, production and export volumes.

In general, the international exhibition KIOSH served as a convenient business platform for demonstrating the industrial and export potential of Uzbekistan to foreign business circles, replenishing the export portfolio of industry enterprises with new contracts and searching for new partners.
