The colorful concert, another in the string of events dedicated to the International Child Protection Day, took place on May 28 at Tashkent’s Turkiston Palace. On top of the opportunity to watch the performance, the children were given presents provided by the concert organizers, the Fund Forum and the Women’s Council.
Aladdin Studio made a splash at Turkistan Palace with their colorful and exciting performances for children, who went home with so many impressions. Moments after the concert started, both children and their parents found themselves tempted to leave their seats and start cheering and dancing to the songs from famous cartoons and movies which Aladdin performed on stage.
Sergei Druzhinin, 9, Orphanage No24:
“The concert was so exciting, and colorful like a rainbow. I just love the songs from "Bremen Musicians" and "Chunga-Changa" cartoons. I listened to these songs today. And I like to watch other children dancing and singing. When I grow up I want to become an astronaut. In the meantime, I help my teachers, go to school and learn to draw.”
The children who came to watch the concert performances by their peers were very active throughout the show: they applauded, danced and played with actors dressed in Smeshariki (characters from a Russian cartoon) costumes while "colorful jellyfishes" performed songs, dances and poems for the kids.
Dilfuza Tursunova, educator, Orphanage 24:
“The children are so excited about the concert. They are happy to share their impressions with each other. I'm sure these colorful performances will linger in their memories for a long time. Our kids love to dance and sing, throughout the concert they sang along with the Aladdin group. It’s so nice to see smiles on their faces and joy in their eyes. This is how children's events should be celebrated. On behalf of all educators, I would like to thank the organizers for this wonderful concert and gifts”
Gayana Osipian, mother of the Aladdin group members:
“My boys have been involved in the group since last October. Now, seeing how they act with confidence, I am filled with so much pride. They are happy to attend dancing and singing classes, and I'm glad that they have the opportunity to exercise and develop their skills, and spend quality leisure time. They are so happy to perform today before the audience. They prepared for this concert seriously. But more importantly, they understand what it is to do good for other children and they enjoy doing that.”
Members of the Aladdin Studio have been active and enthusiastic participants in the Fund Forum’s projects. For instance, on March 5, they gave a concert dedicated to the International Women’s Day and participated in “We are one team” Youth Campaign. Over the past 9 years several trainees of the Studio have emerged as winners at “Yangi avlod” Children’s Creativity Festival. Over 35 trainees have become winners of international competitions and participated in two musicals, Dream Island and Home Alone, which have been a huge success in the Republic.
Maksouda Rakhmatullayeva, director of Yangi Avlod Forumi Children's Creativity Center under the Fund Forum:
“I would like to first of all thank the Aladdin studio for participating so actively in the Fund Forum’s projects and for this unforgettable holiday which has been a huge success. It is very important tohelp to discover children’s talents, to help them develop and provide an opportunity to improve. Participation in this kind of projects helps develop a sense of beauty. Children learn to see beauty, to make good deeds. As an example, children of our Center have arranged a concert at Orphanage No3 for the third year. Each year they prepare for these performances, trying to do their utmost so that all the children smile.”
