Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Khokim of Surkhandarya region Ulugbek Kosimov met with Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

Tatarstan actively cooperates with Uzbekistan. Trade turnover last year exceeded US$290 million. This is 50% more than in 2021.

According to Minnikhanov, work on increasing supply volumes will continue. In addition, there are air connections between Kazan and Tashkent, Samarkand and Ferghana.

A delegation led by Ulugbek Kosimov was in Kazan in October of this year. It participated in the III Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan. Then a cooperation agreement was signed.

Ulugbek Kosimov conveyed greetings from the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Minnikhanov and expressed confidence that the signed agreement will contribute to the development of cooperation in various directions.
