The fair is organized to promote melons among foreign and local tourists. The fair will also present other vegetables and fruits, Uzbektourism said.

The fair will include a contest “The sweetest melon”. The participants will compete in selection of the best seeds of Gurvak melon, select place for seeding, determine the sweetest melon, etc.

The festival of folk groups, contest of singers, shows of the theatres and exhibition of handicrafts will be held within the fair.
