Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A presentation was held on the organization of an international ethnosport festival in Khiva, which is scheduled to be held in September 2023. 

The event was attended by the Minister of Sports Development Adkham Ikramov, who took a closer look at the presentation of the organization of this festival at a high level in order to ensure the fulfillment of the tasks set in the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 25 May 2022 “On measures to promote and develop ethnosport ". The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Chairman of the NOC Sherzod Tashmatov.

The following issues were considered as priority tasks of the presentation:

It is expected that guests from 65 countries of the world will be invited to the festival:

number of guests - 1500 people:

250 of them are guests of honor (Ministers of Sports, Assistant Ministers, Heads of Ethnosport Associations, etc.);

attendants and athletes - 1250 people;

guests of the VIP category (250 people) will be accommodated in a comfortable hotel in Khiva;

guests, service personnel and athletes (1250 people) are accommodated in 144 hotels operating in Khiva (of which 83 are in Ichan kale, 61 in the city of Khiva).

Following the presentation, the Minister of Sports Development outlined additional priorities in this direction.
