Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Traditional Khan-Atlas Festival was held on May 21 in Tashkent Textile and Light Industry Institute with the support of Fund Forum and Osiyo Ramzi Uzbekistan Fashion Designers Association. The main purpose of the Festival is to impart national values to young people, to preserve and increase the cultural heritage, traditions and customs. The festival program included khan-atlas exhibition, a scientific workshop and fashion show.

The Festival showcased an exposition of the best national fabrics - khan-atlas, adras, bekasam and others produced by local artisans. In the course of scientific and practical seminar reports were read by leading experts, young researchers and professors in the field of textiles and national fabric production, design and fashion. The seminar was also attended by scientists of two major academic institutions. The participants reviewed the results of studies related to khan-atlas history, production technologies and modern design.

The guests of the Festival watched a colorful show, prepared by young designers. 15 collections, more than 60 models of daily and evening wear exclusively of khan-atlas.

By the way, almost all students and guests of the event, according to the dress-code, came in the clothes of khan-atlas. And it was no less interesting to scrutinize the outfits of people around. A truly royal garments of khan-atlas.
