Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting was held at the Agency for Strategic Reforms (ASR) with representatives from McKinsey&Company.

The event was attended by senior partners of McKinsey&Company, Hassan Al-Kibsi, Sinan Koksoy, McKinsey’s Central Asia Office Leader Dulatbek Ikbaev, Rustam Shanazarov, General Director of McKinsey’s Uzbekistan office, and other representatives from both organizations.

During the meeting, it was noted that discussions with McKinsey&Company on these topics help to clearly define priorities and steps for developing transport infrastructure, improving the investment environment, and enhancing export potential.

Hassan Al-Kibsi emphasized that McKinsey&Company is pleased to collaborate with the Agency for Strategic Reforms and support efforts to develop Uzbekistan’s economy. He also highlighted that McKinsey&Company’s experience and knowledge will contribute to creating conditions for sustainable economic growth. Sinan Koksoy added that one of the key focuses of the discussion was the cluster approach to developing and enhancing the export potential of small and medium-sized businesses.

Additionally, the meeting covered discussions on the national transport and transit strategy, updating the "Airport Development Concept," cluster development approach for enhancing the export potential of small and medium-sized businesses, promoting Uzbekistan’s tourism potential in the Chinese market, development and reforms of the country’s financial sector, and the development and regulation of fintech and SupTech.

The meeting marked an important step towards implementing strategic initiatives and strengthening partnership relations between ASR and McKinsey&Company. Concrete proposals were formulated based on the outcomes of the meeting.
