Representatives of Central Bank, Uzbekistan Banking Association, shareholders of the bank and others attended the opening ceremony.
Ryu Heui Kyoung, First Deputy Chairperson of Korea Development Bank, said that the bank will use its rich experience and know-how to be reliable partner for the long time. He said that it is necessary support and attention of all to achieve the goal.
Ryu Heui Kyoung said that Uzbekistan is dynamically developing its relations with various areas with Korea. He said that KDB, as leading financial institution of Korea, supports fruitful relations with the banks of Uzbekistan.
He noted that KDB is financial large scale projects and one of the was construction of Surgil gas chemical complex with the cost of US$3.9 billion.
He added that KDB Bank of Uzbekistan, which started its operations in Uzbekistan in 2016, actively helped Korean companies to invest into economy of Uzbekistan and expanded financing of local enterprises.
Currently, KDB Bank of Uzbekistan has two branches. Its assets as of 1 September exceeded over 2.7 trillion soums and capital – 274 billion soums.
