Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In the third quarter of 2023, KazTransOil transported 31.1 thousand tons of Russian oil through the territory of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan along the route “Omsk - Pavlodar - Shymkent - Shagyr oil loading rack.”

In the first quarter of 2023, KazTransOil transported 10.7 thousand tons of Russian oil to Uzbekistan through the main oil pipeline system, and in the second quarter of 2023 - 37.9 thousand tons, Kapital.kz reports.

In October, the volume of transit of Russian oil through the territory of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan will amount to 25 thousand tons.

The company explained that the transportation of Russian oil through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan is in accordance with the oil supply schedule approved by the Ministry of Energy.

KazTransOil began pumping Russian oil to Uzbekistan through the main oil pipeline system in 2017. The volume of transit in 2017 amounted to 67.9 thousand tons, in 2018 - 36 thousand tons. In 2019-2022, there was no transit of Russian oil.

From 1 February 2023, KTO increased the tariff for the service of transporting oil of Russian origin for transit through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Uzbekistan from US$25.12 to US$27.9 per 1 ton excluding VAT.
