Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting of representatives of the energy and water departments of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan took place in Tashkent, where issues of water and energy cooperation were discussed.

During the meeting, proposals for the development of the energy system of Central Asian countries were considered.

During the meeting, issues of high load on energy systems in the autumn-winter period, the construction of new hydroelectric power plants and the development of energy systems in Central Asian countries were discussed.

Decisions have been made regarding mechanisms for mutual assistance in emergency situations and the formation of backup sources.

The parties also discussed the fulfillment of mutual obligations for the supply of water resources and electricity over the past year.

At the next meeting, the parties will discuss the topic of construction of hydroelectric power stations, in particular, the construction of the Kambarata hydroelectric power station on the territory of Kyrgyzstan.
