Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan plan to introduce multivisa for tourists
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan can sign an agreement on the introduction of tourist multivisas, which will allow foreign tourists to visit two countries at once, the Kazakh Minister of Culture and Sports Arystanbek Mukhamediuly said on Wednesday on the sidelines of the meeting of the intergovernmental commission on bilateral cooperation of countries.
According to him, the parties agreed visas, issued to visit Uzbekistan, will be valid in Kazakhstan, and those, issued to visit Kazakhstan, will be able to visit Uzbekistan, Interfax reported.
He noted that tourists, who came to Kazakhstan, have a desire to see the historical places of Uzbekistan, and those who come to Uzbekistan would like to visit the mausoleum of Khoja-Ahmet Yasaui, Astana, Altai.
“We will sign the agreement, and within it we will make a government decree. We must speed up,” the minister said.
These plans, he said, are included in the protocol of the meeting of the intergovernmental commission on bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
