The Kazakh presidential press service said that the presidents discussed issues of developing interstate relations, as well as bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
Specifically, the case in point was deepening trade in border areas, as well as exporting early fruit and vegetables from Uzbekistan into Kazakhstan. The sides also discussed issues related to water and energy resources and the current state of regional cooperation in detail, the press service said.
The press service also said that the heads of state agreed to hold a meeting in Almaty in late April this year as part of a summit of the heads of state taking part in the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea.
