Uzbekistan22/09/2008Kazakh police detains several drug dealers
Askar Isagaliyev, chairman of the Interior Ministry’s anti-drugs committee, said: "We have detained a citizen of Kyrgyzstan who has smuggled an especially large amount of heroin into Kazakhstan. A citizen of Uzbekistan, who carried an especially large amount of heroin hidden among fruit, vegetables and dried apricots, has also been detained."
Another group was detained in Karaganda. A Gypsy gang was selling large batches of drugs from their private house with concrete fence. The fence was an obstacle to finding the hiding place quickly. An arsenal of weapons and 1.5 kg of heroin were found during the search of the drug dealers’ house.
