At the meeting, the sides discussed importance of agreements, reached within the visit of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov to Kazakhstan in strengthening and deepening cultural and humanitarian areas.

It was noted that this is historic year for the countries and people of two years as the sides mark 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations. It was said that set plans open new opportunities for expanding bilateral relations. It was said that Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan should do their best to implement these plans. This will help to strengthen relations between two nationals and boost trade-economic ties.

Kazakh envoy highly rated achievements of Uzbekistan in independence years. He said that the Uzbek-Kzakh relations are reaching new quality level.

The sides also discussed organization of the Kazakhstan Films Days in Tashkent, which is currently taking place in the Uzbek capital.

The sides also considered organization of solemn concert of masters of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in Tashkent in the third decade of November 2012 within the celebration of the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
