Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chairman of the Tourism Committee Umid Shadiev with the republican working group visited Kashkadarya region.

The city of Shakhrisabz is one of the regions of Kashkadarya region with high tourist potential, and there is an opportunity to turn the city into a "tourist hub", effectively using its geographical location and tourist potential.

Representatives of the republican working group for the first time studied the territory of Miraki — a village (urban-type settlement) in the Shakhrisabz district of Kashkadarya region and got acquainted with the opportunities created there in the field of tourism.

The heads of organizations agreed to create additional facilities and improve infrastructure in order to ensure the comfort of tourists by studying the activities of catering enterprises, services, dormitories, home hotels operating in Miraki.

Having got acquainted with the organized and conducted works for tourists in 22 tourist districts, 6 tourist settlements of the region, they agreed on fulfillment of the set tasks.

In addition, in order to further develop agrotourism in the Kitab district and gastrotourism on the Takhtakaracha pass, recommendations were given on expanding and improving the types of services in public catering enterprises.

Studies have also been conducted on the use of the tourist potential of the Hisorak reservoir in the Shakhrisabz district.

With the use of a full overview of the reservoir installed on the territory of the "Visitor Center", the "selfie" zone was determined and work was carried out to improve the necessary opportunities and conditions in the areas of beach tourism, water tourism, "rafting tour".

In order to fully utilize the tourism potential of Shakhrisabz and increase the number of tourists coming, work will be organized in cooperation with business entities in the field of tourism.

This tourist information center is designed for specialists in specific fields, and tourists are placed and provided with information about hotels, tour operators, transport, guides, catering services and handicrafts, pilgrimage sites and entertainment venues.

Kashkadarya region has ample opportunities for all types of tourist destinations. Therefore, in order to extend the stay of tourists coming to the oasis in the region, 2-5-day packages of ecological, mountain, agro, ethno, gastronomic, pilgrimage, extreme and astroturism are being developed.

Representatives of the republican working group gave instructions on the organization of the "Tourism Street", which includes round-the-clock entertainment, food and shopping services, so that tourists feel more comfortable and have a meaningful time.

In order to create more comfort for tourists, representatives of the republican working group were instructed to organize a "Tourism Street", including entertainment, gastronomic and trade services operating around the clock.
