Kapitalbank’s Net Profit Falls by 15.4% in H1 2025
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In the first half of 2025, the net profit of JSC Kapitalbank amounted to 602.4 billion soums, marking a 15.4% decline compared to the same period last year. The figures were disclosed in the bank’s published financial statements.
The bank reported a significant drop in interest income, which decreased by 34.3% to 3.6 trillion soums. At the same time, non-interest income showed a notable increase of 58.1%, reaching 2.4 trillion soums.
As of 1 June 2025, Kapitalbank’s loan portfolio stood at 33.9 trillion soums, reflecting a 17.3% year-on-year increase. However, asset quality deteriorated, with the share of non-performing loans (NPLs) rising from 2.7% to 5.3%.
The bank’s total assets grew by 18.9% during the reporting period to 50.9 trillion soums. As of the end of June, its equity capital reached 5.8 trillion soums, a 17.9% increase compared to the same period in the previous year.
