Kapitalbank to install 3,000 infokiosks
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Open joint stock commercial bank “Kapitalbank” is planning to install 3,000 infokiosks across Uzbekistan, the bank’s press service said.

The bank underlined that 500 self-service terminals (infokiosks) will be installed in the first quarter of 2012.

Infokiosks will be located in public places. The terminals will be able to accept payments in cash and UzKart banking payments cards. In future, it is planned that terminals will be able to accept Visa banking payment cards as well.

The clients will also be able to carry out operations with their banking cards, such as fund upload, authorization, change of password, review balance, account management, etc.

Currently, the bank has 60 infokiosks at Tashkent underground and 80 kiosks at cafes, restaurants, educational establishments, supermarkets, and other public places in Tashkent and Samarkand. The bank plans to install infokiosks at medical establishments, bazaars, trade-entertainment centers and cover Bukhara, Namangan, Ferghana, Termez, Nukus and Qoqand.

It is also planned that the infokiosks will be installed at airports, stations, ticket sales points, tax offices and other places.

This is the first stage of the project, which is designed for two years. Within the project it is planned to install about 3,000 infokiosks in Uzbekistan. The project will cover over 50 educational establishments and 70 secondary special educational establishments in eight cities of Uzbekistan.
