Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The net profit of Kapitalbank for the first quarter of 2024 amounted to 378.1 billion soums, which reflects an increase of 5.6% compared to the same period of last year.

According to the bank's quarterly report, total income increased by 46.6% during the reporting period and reached 3.6 trillion soums.

The bank's assets at the end of the first quarter of 2024 amounted to 41.6 trillion soums, which exceeds the figure for the same period in 2023 by 33.5%.

The bank also increased its capital by 56.1%, reaching 4.6 trillion soums.

Interest income of the financial institution amounted to more than 2.8 trillion soums (+54.5%), and non-interest income - 803 billion soums (+24.7%).

The loan portfolio as of 1 March 2024 reached 27.0 trillion soums, according to the Central Bank. The share of problem loans increased from 0.9% to 1.8%.
