Kafolat collects insurance premiums for 20.8 billion soums in 2012
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- State joint stock insurance company Kafolat signed 635,000 insurance agreements in 2012 and received insurance premiums for 20.8 billion soums, the press service of the company said.

The company said that the growth of insurance receipts made up 39.7% compared to 2011.

Total volume of rendered insurance services made up 6.757 trillion soums in 2012, which grew by 38.4% year-on-year.

The company said that it regulated 1,852 applications on insurance payouts. The company said it made five payouts per day and total volume of payouts reached 2.5 billion soums. Main part of payouts fell to such insurance products as mandatory insurance of owners of vehicles, insurance of pledged property, insurance of vehicles and insurance of property, as well as personal insurance.

As of 1 January 2013, the volume of investments of the company made up 22.6 billion soums. The growth of invetsments made up 31.3% year-on-year.

The insurance reserves of Kafolat grew from 12.9 billion soums in the beginning of 2012 to 18.1 billion soums at the end of 2012. The growth rate made up 40.3%.

The company transferred 119 agreements with total liability of 2.396 trillion soums to reinsurance in 2012.

Kafolat said that it received 8.766 billion soums of insurance receipts from individuals and it made payouts for 1.174 billion soums to individuals in 2012.

The company said that it received 3.487 billion soums of insurance receipts from small and private businesses.
