Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In the weight category up to 81 kg, Uzbek athlete Sharofiddin Boltaboev became the winner of the Paris Grand Slam tournament in judo. 

In the fight for third place, he went to the tatami against the Canadian François Gautier and won in extra time. It is worth noting that, together with the bronze medal, Sharofiddin Boltaboev earned 500 points in his ranking.

Another our judoka Davlat Bobonov in the weight category up to 90 kg won the bronze medal of the competition without a fight. Georgian athlete Beka Griniashvili, bronze medalist of the Tokyo Olympics, did not go to the tatami due to the fact that he received hansoke, that is, a punishment for a prohibited movement. As a result, the victory was automatically awarded to Bobonov.

Also, our wrestler in the weight category up to 100 kg Muzaffarbek Turaboev defeated an experienced opponent from the Netherlands Michael Korrel in a duel for a bronze medal.
