Judo: Rishod Sobirov takes second place in Rio judo tournament
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Rishod Sobirov from Uzbekistan claimed the second place in the IJF Rio de Janeiro Grand Slam. This tournament started the 2012 Olympic Qualification period.
Sobirov won all his four matches in the 60 kg weight category and reached final. But in the final Japan’s Hiroaki Hiraoka defeated the Uzbek athlete to clinch gold medal.
In the 73 weight category, Mirali Sharipov lost in the quarterfinal match and took the fifth place in the tournament.
