Joqargy Kenes holds meeting, elects speaker

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Newly elected deputies of Joqargy Kenes of Karakalpakstan (parliament) held their first session on 15 January 2010.

The session reviewed results of the elections and elected the chairman of the Joqargy Kenes and appointed chairman of the Ministers’ Council of Karakalpakstan, UzA reported.

Deputy Musa Erniyazov was elected at the chairman of the Joqargy Kenes, while Bakhadir Yangibaev was appointed as chairman of the Ministers’ Council of Karakalpakstan.
