Jizzakh region uses investments for US$28.8m in 2011
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Jizzakh region utilized local and foreign investments for US$28.8 million on 52 projects within the regional investment programme for 2011, of which US$7.6 million were direct investments.

The enterprises of the region exported products for US$74.2 million in 2011, which rose 3.7 times year-on-year.

This year, Jizzakh region plans to attract foreign investments for US$36.2 million within 31 perspective projects, of which US$7.9 million will be direct investments. It is also planned to implement six projects to develop light industry for US$116 million.

Within the targeted programme on expanding export of tourism services and development of tourism industry in Jizzakh region for 2011-2012, it is planned to implement 26 projects for 13.8 billion soums. It is expected that project executors will direct 7.6 billion soums to projects, while banks will allocate 4.5 billion soums. Local budgets will issue 1.5 billion soums. The projects will be implemented in Farish, Arnasay, Zaamin districts and Jizzakh region.
