Japan’s OMETA plans to create medical equipment capacities at Navoi FIEZ
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Japan’s Overseas Medical Equipment Technical Assistance (OMETA) is planning to create capacities on medical equipment production at the territory of Navoi free industrial-economic zone (Navoi FIEZ), OMETA President Kenichi Matsumoto said in interview to Jahon news agency.

OMETA delegation led by its President Kenichi Matsumoto paid a visit to Uzbekistan. The visit was aimed at visiting Navoi FIEZ to familiarize with its opportunities.

Kenichi Matsumoto said that OMETA is interested in expanding cooperation with Uzbekistan. He said the organization is planning to open joint venture on production of medical equipment and pharmaceutical products at FIEZ Navoi.

He said that in the first phase, the organization is planning to create capacities on production of two medical equipment – first will allow to conduct various examinations of cancer deceases and the second will help to set control over infectious deceases.

During the visit, the delegation also held negotiations at the ministries and departments of Uzbekistan and visited National Emergency Medical Aid Center and National Rehabilitation Center. The delegation familiarized with the activities of the center and their equipment.
