According to the Japanese side, Wakayama University has great opportunities in matters of scientific and theoretical study of tourism. A Center for the Study of International Tourism was established at the University.
The co-director of the Uzbekistan-Japan Center Takata Hirohiko presented the main activities of the Center, informing that the Center operates in three areas: business courses for management personnel, Japanese language studies, development of mutual understanding in the spheres of culture, business and university cooperation.
The Japanese delegation invited the Uzbek side to consider the possibility of cooperation in training and retraining of specialists of Uzbekistan in leading tourist educational institutions, tourist companies and hotels in Japan, as well as attracting Japanese specialists to organize courses and trainings in Uzbekistan, including in the regions.
Officials of the State Tourism Committee expressed readiness for cooperation in all areas of mutual practical interest in the sphere of tourism development.
