President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed a resolution “On measures on effective use of grant of the Government of Japan on equipment of medical establishments with high technological medical equipment”.

The document was adopted to ensure timely attraction and effective use of the grant of the Japan Government, provided to equip medical establishments of Uzbekistan with modern high technological medical equipment.

According to the resolution, the grant of the Japan Government will be used to purchase 8 endoscopic vision systems (video gastroscope and video colonoscope) with total cost of US$2.6 million and 18 digital radiographers for US$1.3 million.

President of Uzbekistan authorized Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov to sign exchange notes between the governments of Uzbekistan and Japan, as well as grant agreement between two sides.
