Japan and Uzbekistan intend to strengthen trade, economic and inter-parliamentary ties

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 30 November, as part of the stay of the Uzbek government delegation in Japan, a meeting was held with the Member of the House of Representatives from the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan and the head of the executive committee of the Parliamentary League of Friendship "Uzbekistan and Japan" Keisuke Suzuki.

The Japanese side was grateful for the long-term partnership on all issues of developing trade, economic, investment, financial and technical cooperation, as well as expanding inter-parliamentary relations between Uzbekistan and Japan.

Keisuke Suzuki expressed readiness to continue active interaction and provide comprehensive support for the processes of regional integration in Central Asia, as well as to promote the economic prosperity of the region.

An agreement was reached on the visit of the Vice President of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan Taro Aso (former Minister of Finance and Prime Minister of Japan) to Uzbekistan in 2023 to hold the next 4th meeting of the inter-parliamentary forum between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Japan, as well as a joint business forum with the participation of leading business circles of the two countries.
