Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At a meeting with activists of Uchtepa district with the participation of the President of Uzbekistan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy Jamshid Kuchkarov presented a work plan for the district.

“It is planned to open 75 retail outlets along Khirmontepa Street. In addition, our research indicates that 91,000 square meters of unused space in the district’s 360 buildings can be rented out.

We know that business points can be opened on the first floors of apartment buildings. Therefore, these houses are expensive. Taking this into account, we want to launch a separate preferential credit line from the National Bank for those who wish to start a business by purchasing apartments on the 1st floor.

There is also a well-known cinema "Vatan" in the area. At one time, 25% of the cinema’s share was left to the state. Now the entrepreneur - the owner of 75% of the share, cannot fully use the object. According to the entrepreneur, if the object were completely transferred to him, he would invest US$8 million and hire 350 people.

In general, according to our plans, next year the volume of industrial production in the Uchtepa district will be increased to 6.7 trillion soums, trade and production - up to 18 trillion soums. In this regard, the district will become one of the leaders in the city of Tashkent,” Jamshid Kuchkarov said.
