Istomin defeated Andrea Seppi from Italy in straight sets – 6:3 and 6:4 – in the quarterfinals of the tournament.

The match lasted an hour and 15 minutes. During the match, Denis Istomin recorded three break points and six aces, and committed two double faults.

Andreas Seppi, in his turn, won one break point and registered one ace and three double faults during the game.

In the semifinal match, Istomin will play against the winner of the match between Philipp Kohlschreiber of Germany and Mate Delic of Croatia.
