Issues of increasing imports of Uzbek textile products to Belgium were discussed

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ambassador of Uzbekistan Dilyor Khakimov held a meeting with the head of Chemitex SA, Erol Kandioti, during which potential opportunities for increasing the volume of imports of Uzbek textile products to Belgium were discussed, Dunyo news agency reported.

According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan, the Chemitex was established in 1970 and is the leading European company in the textile trade (from yarn to fabrics). In order to meet the needs of customers, the company actively researches, creates and develops new products. Combining this with the use of its own logistics and a flexible approach to the needs of each client, the company offers a range of services that has no analogues. The combination of these reasons has allowed Chemitex to grow into one of the largest and most successful supply and distribution networks in the textile field, serving customers all over the world.

Detailed information was also brought to the head of the Belgian company about Uzbekistan obtaining the status of a beneficiary of the EU’s Generalized System of Preferences "GSP +". Uzbek manufacturers and exporters enjoy unilateral tariff preferences when exporting their goods to the European market, including textile products.

Erol Kandioti highly appreciated the cooperation with the Uzbek partners and confirmed his readiness to continue to cooperate with the republic. He expressed readiness to consider the possibility of increasing the volume and range of Uzbek textile products.
