Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 20 April, a meeting was held in the Tashkent khokimiyat with Yupont Group Ltd., China.

The meeting was attended by the khokim of the capital Shavkat Umurzakov, the deputy khokim for investments and foreign trade Sharof Rakhmanov, the director for strategic issues of JSC Toshkent invest kompaniyasi Rustam Kadyrov and other representatives of the khokimiyat and the company.

During the event, the parties discussed in detail the development of green energy in Tashkent, after which a trilateral Memorandum of Cooperation was signed with Yupont Group Ltd. for the installation of solar panels with a total capacity of 100 MW at large industrial enterprises in Tashkent, with the aim of converting them to green energy.
