Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov met with UN Deputy Secretary-General and Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana, during the conference of ministers on digital inclusion and transformation held in Astana.

During the meeting, gratitude was expressed for the strengthening of cooperation between the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan and the organization over the past two years.

It was noted that in July this year, a seminar on enhancing digital skills was held under the auspices of ESCAP, with around 40 government officials participating.

The discussion also covered issues related to enhancing digital competencies among government officials and entrepreneurs, including support for women entrepreneurs.

Current results of cooperation were reviewed, and a plan was agreed upon for implementing new projects in digital transformation, inclusive and sustainable digital futures.
