Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting was held between the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Davron Vakhabov with Charge d’Affaires of Georgia Georgiy Chkheidze and Senior Counselor of the Georgian Embassy in Uzbekistan Irakli Kandelaki.

During the meeting, the current state and prospects for the development of construction, textiles, tourism, furniture and wine industries between the two countries were discussed. Issues of re-export of products produced in Uzbekistan to other countries through the ports of Georgia were also discussed.

In addition, the parties agreed to organize a videoconferencing meeting with the participation of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the two countries to consider the possibility of organizing joint events in order to realize the potential of cooperation between our countries, as well as to exchange information in the above-mentioned 6 areas.

Following the meeting, a delegation of Georgian businessmen is planning a visit to Uzbekistan in 2024, within the framework of which a visit to wine-making organizations will be organized in order to develop this industry.
