Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The leadership of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan met with a delegation led by the President of the Chinese company CITIC Construction Yang Jianqiang.

CITIC Construction is a subsidiary of China's largest state-owned financial corporation CITIC Group and specializes in international engineering. It is engaged in the construction of industrial, infrastructure, and sports facilities, as well as real estate, both on a general contract basis and on a BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) basis. The company also exports and imports mechanical and electronic equipment, and also implements projects in various countries around the world.

At the meeting, issues of expanding cooperation in the field of road transport, engineering infrastructure and modernization of irrigation systems in Uzbekistan were discussed. The implementation of joint projects is aimed at more efficient use of water resources and improvement of the transport infrastructure of the regions.

The prospects for cooperation in the fields of industry, heat supply and agriculture were also discussed.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to intensify mutual cooperation to develop new areas of cooperation.
