Issues of digital transformation of railways in North and Central Asia discussed

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- These days Baku is hosting a regular meeting of the Working Group of the Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) jointly with the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) of the UN, dedicated to the acceleration of digital transformation of railways in the region of North and Central Asia. 

The meeting was convened by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Representatives of the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade and Uzbekistan Temir Yollari take part in the dialogue.

During the meeting, the participants will consider the issues of attracting investments and high technologies in the field of railway transport in order to increase its competitiveness and improve the quality of services.

The meeting is a continuation of the Tashkent session of the UN SPECA program, which took place on 26-27 October 2022. The event also hosts expert meetings on the digitalization of international freight and rail transport in the region.
