Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 16 December, a meeting was held at the International Institute of Central Asia (MICA) with the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Central Asia, head of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy (UNRCCA) for Central Asia Kaha Imnadze.

During the conversation, an exchange of views took place on the development of processes in Central Asia, prospects and forms of interaction between UNRCCA and MICA.

The head of UNRCCA noted the importance of the policy pursued by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev aimed at strengthening cooperation in Central Asia.

During the meeting, the role of annual meetings of deputy foreign ministers of Central Asian states and expert meetings of leading think tanks in the region, which contribute to the practical filling of the agenda of upcoming high-level events, was also particularly emphasized.

The participants agreed to continue regular dialogue in order to further strengthen the expert dialogue between MICA and UNRCCA, as well as to conduct joint events.
